Am I cool enough for a blog?

I am one to quickly spout off a funny story or annoyingly hectic day to my friends, family, anyone that will listen. I have had several people tell me I need to start a blog. One even suggested a podcast. I am not deluded enough to believe anyone would want to listen to me talking!

But, maybe, just maybe someone will want to read what I have to say?

Maybe, in reading about my chaotic life, they will find they are not alone in their experiences. That other peoples kids are annoying too. That other moms don't always have it together.

So I decided I would give it a go. I still don't think I'm cool enough to write a blog. I picture Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex in the City writing. And here I am on an exercise ball wondering if these Braxton Hicks are going to be the real deal in a few hours or just annoy me for a bit longer. I am in yoga pants, my husbands shirt, left over quesadilla on my sleeve and mix matched socks because to be frank I am just happy I managed to get them on my feet without any help. Ergo decidedly N O T cool enough to have a successful blog. At least not in the super awesome "I am an 'influencer' kind of way.

Now that I've said all that, I have to be real here. I am starting this with the best intentions of staying moderately up to date with it. Whatever that means because I haven't set up a schedule of any sort. But life happens. Usually I can't find both my computer and my charger so there are good odds that inevitably you will find long periods of little to no activity on this blog. Can't say I didn't warn you.

Annnnnd while we are on this topic of being realistic, lets go ahead and manage some expectations. I am what I would like to consider a witty person, funny, dare I say. You'll come across some humorous entries as I navigate life but you will also find some serious ones. Some with content that might be a little out of the ordinary for people to open up about. I'll write about my faith, my family, my love of running, or my sincere disdain for socks left laying around my house. I am a horrible speller, I am bound to have typos and will endeavor to correct them as I reread my posts (lets be honest everyone rereads what they have written only AFTER its been posted). The good news is, in the process of homeschooling my oldest child I am learning phonics rules that are helping me, at the ripe age of 29 going on 29, to be a better speller, and human in general.

If you've made it this far, I commend you! You've basically read lots of words about nothing! Yay for deep dives on the inter webs that could've been used for folding laundry, washing dishes, really just about anything productive. If you're feeling convicted, I apologize and rest assured I have spent many a nights doing the same exact deep dives over arguably less interesting content.

Until next time my friends!
